In an attempt to reduce the 5+ lb SA pull on my Beretta 92A1 I cut 1.75 coils off of the hammer spring plus I adjusted the sear spring to apply less pressure to the sear. In doing that I achieved a really nice 3.5 lbs ... however I found at the range that 50% ish of the time the sear would not catch the hammer when fired ... that is when fired the slide will rack back and a new round chambered however the hammer would fall with the slide. The only way to fire at the point was DA. If racked by hand the sear caught just fine all the time.
So in an attempt to fix that I adjusted the sear spring back to about half way between stock and where I had it ... now the sear catches on every shot however my trigger pull is back up to 4.5 lbs.
What things can I do to reduce the trigger pull on this gun? Love the gun but don't like that heavy a trigger pull.
Thanks
