Beretta 92D Request for Price Update

Awhile back, Lever Arms here in Vancouver had a bunch of used Berettas - some made in U.S.A. Vancouver Police surplus ERT 9mm SA/DA guns... not the crappy DAO 96's in .40S&W that you can barely give away. Many of them had Pachmyer grips and all had tritium night sights... although somewhat dim... circa 1995) and some made in Italy Italian surplus guns (with old-school iron sights and heel release mags... I think they were mainly bought for their novelty and also the European markings and proof marks... no English anywhere on those guns).

They were all priced at $500 or $550, and they sold them all relatively quickly. My girlfriend bought one of the best condition VPD guns right near the beginning of the sale for $550 - and that was a pretty good buy. It has served her pretty well.

The fact that brand new guns (U.S.A. or Italian made guns for export) can easily be had for $900-ish, means that you won't get much over $600 for any such gun. No mags is not a great selling point. Most used guns/surplus guns come with one mag (such as the ones I mentioned above). Did you have some prohib cop mags for these guns? Lever had a whole bunch of prohib VPD 15 rounders that they pinned by using a machine to dint in one side of the mag. My GF got two more of those for $30 each. They are kind of neat because they actually have the VPD ERT member's badge number scratched into the baseplates... if you are into that kind of thing. There are some pictures on this board in my thread on that gun if you search for it.

If you have restricted Centurions (which normally should be prohibs with 103mm barrels) that might change the equation a bit, but not much. Try them at $600 or $650. If you have any left after 3 weeks, drop $50. They'll go.

Oops.. o.k. I guess Centurions are 109mm barrels not 103. There may be some different variations out there. Beretta seems to have a zillion versions of that same basic design.
