Hi,

I'm just wondering what a decent price is for a Beretta 92F.

I have an opportunity to buy one for $400 or so, was originally purchased around 1991 or so and hasn't had many rounds fired thru it.

I know the 92F had an over hype of slide failures, so I'm not too concerned about that issue as I would just be using it at the range, just wondering if that price is decent or not?

Thanks

They had taken steps to repair the potential slide issues by '91.

If not a lot of rounds through it then $400.00 is a decent price for that unit IMHO. I don't see them for sale used all that often (there's another active thread about that). Check the new prices for yourself but I think they land between $700 & $900.

I bought my 92(FS) (also a '91 vintage) in 1996 or 1997 for $400.00, came with two mags and a bunch of ammo but also had not been fired much (previous owner said a "couple mags" and it looked to be true at that time). That was, I was told then, a pretty good deal and certainly I couldn't find one comparable for a similar price then. I guess that was 15 years ago though now, so...not all that relevant to ya.

Great pistol I've put thousands through it now and have no interest in parting with it.

Al Flarehty's is selling them for $700 new, on sale right now!

With the locking block issues and such with these guns I would want a new one, but $400 is a pretty good price!

I bought a 92A1 which has some improvements and I am very happy!
