Beretta 92FS Inox Jamming

I had issues starting on the 4th shot, so I have sent Italian an email about the gun. I think they do test firings in their store, so they can see if it really is flawed or not if I take it to them.

Its likely because most haven't a clue what could be causing the problem. If the gun isn't improperly manufactured then my suspicion is with the magazine(s). If a new gun won't run factory ammo, its a lemon. If this new gun wont run without lube, its a lemon. If this new gun is having this many teething problems, its a lemon. Without watching the owner shoot and dismissing limp wristing which I doubt is the issue. And taking his word that he is using factory ammo not reloads. We're left with a manufacturing defect, magazine issue, or a piss poor pistol.

What I find comical are the folks who insist the gun be run wet, and that new magazines need some time to break in. Clearly some people have a lesser standard of quaility and reliability than most, or they don't have a clue what they're talking about. I'm by no means a Beretta fan, but I'm confident you can run one without lube for a good couple hundred rounds without issue. Anyone who feels otherwise likely hasn't shot enough to know better. However, if they claim to have failures without lubrication then my previous statement stands, its a lemon. This brings up another point I've made in the past and will make again. It has been mentioned in this thread that the OIL used has or will "blow off" the gun, which is true. So why are people still using oil when grease is far superior?? Same deal for magazines, they had better work right out of the package or they're junk. Oddly enough its the 1911 and Beretta that seem to corner the aftermarket for magazines. I can only suspect its because the stock mags are less than reliable. I don't hear about SIG/HK/GLOCK/S&W owners looking for aftermarket magazines or running them for the most part. Call me crazy but I expect my guns and magazines to work out of the box without issue.

I said that because there is a video on youtube saying that people's response to an expensive gun that is jamming is that because it needs lube or needs break in period.
And the response for a cheap gun that is jamming is that the gun sucks and that is what you get for buying for a cheap gun.

I am not disagreeing with you. there are two factors in the equation, the shooter and the gun(and ammo but its not part of the shooter so it gets lumped in with the gun). lack of lube is the excuse for a poor gun. And cheap guns are just cheap junk for the most part.

I have the PX4 Storm and the 92fs, Both where shooting ''out of the box'' flawless, I've tried firing them with no lubrification at all...works everytime, I've tried the oposite more oil/grease...works everytime, however, I found that like TDC mentioned, grease is better, I use white grease, just a sligh lubrification where the slide is moving, both guns just slide better...

however, my main point is : the AMMO ..... I only use Blazer ammo aluminum shell, my PX4 is now with 2000 rounds zero jam, and my 92fs is with 2600 or so... zero jams, flawless everytime, ....

try a different ammo, ......Blazer alum. works fine in all my guns ....

So funny lolll, my two Beretta did eat any ammo so far, I just said that they like more the Blazer Alu Ammo, 115gr and 124gr.

I would hate it if my gun couldn't shoot the caliber it was designed for!
AE 115grn... I would trust my life on it shooting out of the 92fs.
Sounds like yours should be traded in my friend.
 
I took it out to the range this morning, but before I went I oiled the :bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug: out it. 50 rounds through not a single jam also met up with someone who gave me some tips on my stance, and grip just to make sure.

When I phoned Italian the gunsmith just recommend oiling it heavily, and well sure enough it worked. Thanks for everyone's responses, and help though with this issue.
