Hey i was wondering if someone could provide some info for me. So I just purchased (mail ordered) my first Beretta 92FS. I'm not actually at home until next week but my wife has sent me pics of my new machine and I'm very confused. Now every 92FS I have ever seen has the dissasembly lever on the left side of the gun that you slide down when you press the dissasembly button on the right side of the frame. Well the pics my wife sent me of my new gun shows that there is no button on the right but there is the dissasembly lever on BOTH sides of the gun. Now am I missing something here or have I been ripped off and this is a counterfeit. It is the made in Italy version but has the Beretta USA CORP stamp also on the slide. My purchase order reads this: Beretta 92FS, 9mm, made in Italy #J92F300 if that provides any more information. I can't wait to go home and see this for myself but I'm sure someone on here has some answers? Thanks for your help!

And this gun was purchased from a Well known store, I'm not going to mention the name of the buisness because I'm sure I'm just being a rookie to Pistols and there is a perfect explanation. I just can't seem to find any answers anywhere.

No i can tell 100% by the stamping on the slide is different on both sides. Makes no sense to me. I sent a email to the buisness so I'm sure they will get back to me today I hope. And ill post on here what they tell me also. Has anyone ever heard of this?

No way any 92 patterned Beretta or clone has a disassembly lever on both sides.
If this is a legit handgun properly transferred from a legit store, then I’m sure the OP is somehow mistaken.

Since the gun was on his wife’s naked body, it is possible he got distracted somehow.

Are you sure you are seeing a takedown lever?
I cant imagine being able to put 2 in.

There is no 2nd take down lever on a 92 Series pistol....period. To the OP Galt posted a picture of the right side of a 92FS. Is that the gun un your picture? If it isn;t then the store sent you the wrong gun. Every 92FS made looks like the one Galt just posted.

Take Care

Man oh man I feel like an idiot. So it indeed turns out the pic I was looking at was a reversed photo... (a selfie she took) I realized when I zoomed in and the stamping I thought was different was simply backwards writing from what I originally saw. She took new pics today of only the gun lol and everything is to spec. Thanks guys and sorry for wasting your time. I'll delete the thread in a couple hours. Cheers!
