Hey guys,

I am just wondering if anyone has adjusted their triggers on their 92FS'?

Is it a hard task if it can be done, or something a smith should be doing?

Thanks for the help.

FWIW i would rather have a much lighter trigger pull with it, as i find the trigger creep annoying.

I don't know if it can be adjusted, Wolf springs sells a trigger kit that is supposed to solve the crappy triggers of model 92.

I have a model 96 vertec, and thinking of trying one ( kit ).

Beretta's are good combat pistols but that is about it...

Are you talking about DA or SA trigger pull?

It says it will not fit the newer models with plastic trigger?

Mine is a 92FS INOX will this have a plastic trigger? I tried a magnet on it, but im not sure if it was sticking to the frame or the trigger? Magnet was kinda big.I tried to touch my teeth on it (dont ask) but it feels like if it is metallic it has some sort of coating on it.

...changing out the springs finishes the AMU conversion. Sams uses a stock 1911 mainspring and a new recoil spring. He says the stock 13-pound recoil spring doesn’t provide the solid front-end lockup that he likes, so he uses aftermarket 15-pounders instead...

JD, if you have the Inox model with black controls, the trigger is polymer-coated steel. That trigger spring that Wolff offers will not work on that type of trigger. You can replace the factory 20lbs hammer spring with an 18lbs one offered by Wollf or Beretta (same hammer spring as on the "D" models), which will smoothen out, and lighten the DA trigger pull. You can also have a competant gun smith perform some stone work on your hammer and sear. As far as an adjustable trigger goes, Beretta's adjustable trigger doesn't work all that great. It works perfect for adjusting actual trigger over-travel, but the way that the pre-travel adjustable screw is positioned on the trigger, it will not allow the trigger to return to its original position (position without the adjustable trigger installed). To clarify that a bit, the trigger does not return to its full "ready-to-fire" position, and the hammer does not fully rest on the firing pin plunger. Think of it like this: it's almost like the the gun is in its ready-to-fire state as if the hammer is in half-#### position. This is because of the pre-travel adjustment screw extending from the trigger, which rests on the back of the trigger well on the frame, and does not allow it to fully return. I have one of these triggers on my Elite II, and simply removed the pre-travel screw, and adjusted the trigger for over-travel only. I works pretty good for me. Hope this helps, and sorry to anyone out there who disagrees with me or has a different opinion...I'm not a gun smith...this is simply my own, personal opinion.

trigger can be lightened using a lighter spring from wolff springs. but the springs won;t do anything for creep. for that you can polish the hammer and sear at the points where they contact. i just polished the hammer and sear on my 92fs and it feels amazing with the 13lbs hammer spring from wolff. It got rid of 90% of the creep and double action feels much smoother.
