beretta 92fs

I owned both 92FS and a 92FS Brigadeer Inox. You cant go wrong with either. They are lovely pistols.

I just picked one up about a week ago nice pistol what to get a conversion kit to shoot22 but they are expensive. Havent had a chance to shoot it yet hopfully soon.

I think the M9 is the same as the 92FS, only difference i could see is some M9 models have a rail for accessories.

That's the M9A1 with the rail...for the OP just go with whichever you think looks the best as they are essentially the same firearm (small differences but nothing to write home about). I personally don't go for inox (as I prefer the black tacticool look) but there's nothing wrong with it. Still a fine firearm.

The difference between the M9 and 92fs is that some of the parts on the M9 are plastic. I got a 92fs (non inox) about a month ago and I love it. If you were going to get a non inox beretta, go with the Italian made 92fs, not the M9.

That being said, if you can, buy the inox......so ###y :D

Having seen them all the Inox is King. A superbly good looking gun. The angles and makeup of the 92 really stand out in Inox.

Having said that and lusting after a 92 for some time I gave in when I tripped over a helluva good price on a used consignment blued Italian 92fs. No regrets since it's already proving to be a superb gun on all fronts.

I went with the Italian made model because I like the subtle upsweep angle of the lower dust cover portion of the frame in front of the trigger guard. The M9 with its straight lines in that area does not look as nice. Add on the somewhat more frequent reports of issues with the American assembled M9 guns and I'm more inclined to be happy with my "made in Italy" version.

beretta

well that pretty much answers all my questions. I still would like to obviously hold one before i buy one, but all the input helps alot.

thanks for the help.

Bought an M9 had it for a year and sold it. It sold in less than a week. Great pistol, I just had a hard time shooting it with my small girly hands...and you know what they say about a man with small hands....

I held a 92FS and it was just gorgeous. I have big hands and it fit perfectly. I liked the semi-gloss black and nice fit and finish. Excellent balance and lightweight (aluminum alloy I believe). Do not buy without holding it because people with med/small hands will have difficulty because the grip is fat. I've read that slim grips are available however, so even if you were not blessed with large hands you can use it comfortably.

I ended up buying a CZ75b that I liked better at a lower price.

I just acquired a newer "Made in Italy" 92FS. I have medium to small hands and find the grip size to be excellent.

Stock grips on it or something aftermarket and thin? If stock I'm really surprised at this since I take Xlarge motorcycle gloves and find that the grip on the 92 is a real "handful". I find it comfy but just barely compared to the slightly better hand wrap I get on my CZ's.
