beretta 948 22lr

Recently I got handed down a Beretta 948 22Lr. My issue is this is a prohibited handgun because of the 85mm barrel.

My question is does anyone know of anywhere in Canada that would sell a new barrel or even custom make a new barrel which brings this back into just the restricted category. I would really like to keep this gun in the family and not sell it.

Any info would be very much appreciated

These had a 6 inch barrel you could swap out in the day, but could be hard to find, in Canada.
try gun parts in the US, but then you need a importer, also check brownell's out
I have never had one , so can't think what they look like , up dated 1935? model I think.
I take it you don't have 12-6?
It can stay in the estate for a while

i believe barry over at bit's and pieces has done a couple of these barrel swaps- also maybe dlask- it's a drop-barrel and you have to surrender the old prohib barrel or have it destroyed
