Beretta 96 questions

Hi, just bought a beretta 96 and i've searched here and there and haven't found clear answers... First, is the beretta 92fs .22lr conversion kit compatible with the 96? or do you need another conversion kit made especially for the 96? (or is there any?). If the 92 fit, where can i get one appart from the EE if i am lucky?
Second, i've read somewhere that you could possibly switch caliber from a 96 to a 92 (.40 to 9mm), is it possible? (by buying an extra slide and barrel?)

92 and 96 frames are the same. So one kit will fit the 2.

To go from 9mm to .40 or the other way around you just need an upper (slide/barrel)

Good so does anyone know where i can buy beretta 92 parts (slide+barrel) here in canada and what about those .22lr conversion kit, any around? Thank you very much

Try the EE. or call a few stores around and have them check with the distributor.

Ok, and do you know if a beretta 92 FS frame+ barrel will fit a beretta 96 (not fs?) frame?

Do you mean if Beretta FS SLIDE and barrel will fit a non FS Frame? Yes.

but not the other way around - you need an FS slide to go with FS frame. but FS slide will work on older F frame.

98? is that the 9x21? where would you even find one lol.
it should be identical to 9mm just a different barrel
