Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol Tactical Shotgun Review

The Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol is a tactical/ Competition 12 Gauge Shotgun that is light weight, yet soft shooting. It has a 7+1 capacity and a lot of enlarged controls to make it a great option for Law Enforcement or Home Defense. Thanks to Beretta USA for their help!

They're won't be anyone installing afolding stock or magpul stock on the Patrol unless they get rid of the kick off system.

It doesn't have berettas kickoff system yet he mentions it how many times lol
Normally he has great reviews but he $h!t the bed on this one big time

I think they are using the original Kickoff.

KICK-OFF

The first recoil reduction system developed by Beretta. It consists of two shock absorbers inserted close to the butt plate, completed by return springs, which effectively act on the first recoil peak, reducing the perceived recoil up to 60%.
A third elastomer shock absorber, inserted in the tie rod, acts on the second recoil peak caused by the impact of the slide against the receiver.

It doesn't look like it.

The ultima has the kickoff system as it's easily seen on the butt. This new patrol does not have the kick off feature.
Having the recoil spring in the stock is not new. Many other semis use the rat tail style. Taking the buttpad off the new patrol there are no connecting springs. It has the same spacers as the 1301 comp

Not exactly but they must of used some of the design from an early system with updates.

This video clearly shows a gun with the kickoff system on the end of the buttstock. The original a300 ultima comes with that but not the new patrol version.
It's also not listed as a feature in any of berettas adds

As much as I prefer having the action spring in the front instead of in the stock if they bring the patrol out in a 20ga I will be very tempted to buy one. The easy removal of the trigger assembly makes lining up the rat tail easy. The rail for a red dot would make it a great turkey and coyote gun although I don't think it's much lighter than the 1301 comp but I find I enjoy using my comp for skeet and Id rather not keep putting an optic on and taking it off. I'm getting lazy in my old age lol

What this video shows is the first kick off from 14yrs ago. There is no Kick off in the butt plate on this design. Or the design from the M4 was incorporated. Or we will have to wait for a tear down video.

The patrol sure looks like a simpler rem 1148 with the action spring in the stock. I believe you're right though no folding stock will be available for it
I almost bought the a300 ultima in 20ga but I'll wait to see if the patrol comes out in 20. No reason it shouldn't as it's built on the ultima receiver. I really like the Tiger stripe version

James Reeves and Ryan O. of TFBTV take out the new Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol for a 500 round BURN DOWN. How reliable is the new Beretta A300 compared to it's ultra-reliable cousin, the Beretta 1301? And how does it handle 500 rounds of bird, buck, and slug? See today's video to find out.

What do you think 1AB, back up for the 1301T? LOL

As far as back up for the 1301T I would be more inclined to just buy another 1301T over the Patrol for many reasons with some being personal preferences. I do like the fore end on the Patrol & will see if it can work with the Tac,

It will be interesting to see the pricing difference between the Patrol & Moss Pro Tac

I still think the ultima patrol is a big step down from the 1301 action. However I applaud the manufactures for giving us choice in reliable semi autos.
I'm absolutely loving my 1301 comp

I would definitely agree with you on all accounts.
