My Xcel Black is reliable, will shoot any 7/8 oz light reloads or obviously heavier loads. Mine has the carbon fiber rib that I blue Loctited the roll pin that retains the rib before firing it. Read a few reports of them coming loose. It is my sporting clays competition shotgun over the past 5 years with no repairs needed of any kind. I clean the gas system about every 1200 rounds fired, but it would go way longer without a hickup I am sure.
Really soft recoil with the rear Kick-off system. Adjustable shims are excellent for getting POI vs POA where you want it. Also Beretta (Stoeger, Canada) sells recoil pads (MicroCore pads for competition size stock) in lengths from 1/2" to 1.1" in .2" increments that give you good length adjustment, and also a 1/2" spacer for a real long LOP.
The factory extended chokes for mine are excellent too. No need for aftermarket in my opinion as they are constricted just like the charts say they should be..i.e. IC is 0.0.10" constriction, Mod is .020" etc.
