Beretta A400 Exteme thoughts

Nice guns. Reliable and fast shooting. Minimal recoil. Much nicer than other Beretta semi autos in my experience.

I sold mine because I couldn't get used to the safety in front of the trigger guard. I'm a lefty and couldn't get used to it.

Best semi auto on the market if it fits you. Cycles absolutely everything. Very nice balance. Beautiful recoil reduction system, shooting 3.5" heavy magnum loads is a breeze. Easy to disassemble and assemble. Some people say a shotgun needs cleaning only after 500-600 shots due to its self-cleaning design. Flawless performance in any weather, corrosion protection. I tried SB II and Vinci, and the Beretta A400 is my favourite shotgun for waterfowl hunting.

There is a newer version, that called Xtreme Plus. I don't think that an oversized bolt handle and a central bead worth the higher price tag. It could be a better purchase if you are a left-handed shooter as this model has a reversible safety.

They’re certainly impressive waterfowl guns. I don’t own one but my duck hunting partner does. I’ve never seen it hiccup or miss a beat or failure in anyway. Shoots very soft. I would say close to my versamax with each gun firing the same loads. I find the fore end quite deep, but my buddy says my versamax forend is too full. So basically it’s personal ha ha.

I certainly don’t think you will be disappointed in the gun if it fits you well and you like the fit and form.
