beretta a400 xcel and extreme

i have been thinking about a new gun for trap since me and wife seem to be going pretty much every weekend. I really like the a400, But not to keen on the blue reciever. what is the difference between the the a400 xcel and the other a400 models. will the others last as long as the xcel trap shooting. i am using a remington 870 express right now.
 
I have the A400 light. The only difference I can see is the weight of the excel is greater and the vent rib is wider(and the ugly blue receiver). I've been using my A400 light for trap/skeet and some sporting clays with no issues.
 
The A400 Excel and Light have 3" chambers. The A400 Xplor and Extreme have 3-1/2" chambers and in my experience the 3-1/2" chambered guns are not as reliable with light target loads.

The A400 Excel is heavier than the Light, has a wider rib and a differently configured (and better) fore end cap. I'm currently happy with my 391s but if I wanted a new semi it would be the Excel and I'd live with the blue receiver in return for the other benefits.

What I'm waiting to see however is the new A400 Multi-target.

thanks i never saw that one, I like it. wonder what the price will be.
 
I have the Beretta A400 Xtreme. I use it every now and again for skeet, 5 stand and sporting clays. Since I got my 692 the A400 is more for hunting and a back up. I got the full synthetic one. One thing to add the xtreme has the kick off mid way on the stock not on the butt like the other A400s.
 
That multi target reminds me of the Fabarm velocity 5 . Don,t care much for cantilever forward section of the rib it looks fragile .
