beretta al391 urika 2

A friend has one. I shot it for a weekend earlier this summer and it is just like my Optima-choked 391 except for the Xtra-grain wood which didn't look too bad compared to the earlier Xtra-wood on the Beretta guns. The only other difference is a gas valve which is notched supposedly to clean out plastic build up. I don't know how much difference it makes but it is a selling feature for Beretta.

Go for it, I'm very happy with mine. I've put 100 shells through it so far and it's functioning beautifully. If you have any specific questions I can try to give you an answer.

what will it set me back and where can i find one?

Depends which model you purchase, around $1300+ for the "field" and $1750+ for the "gold". I don't know where you can purchase them in MB maybe another member can give you an suggestion. Several stores in Ontario carry them, of course it's best to handle one to see if it fits you just to see if you like it. For me it was a toss up between a Browning Gold and the Beretta as both fit me very well. In the end I went with the Beretta because it looked nicer

I've been looking at the Urika 2 and the Gold Fusion and deciding between the two. Unfortunately only the Beretta is available to shoulder and I can't make an honest comparison. Both come with cases but the Browning has a $100 rebate offer on all 'Gold' shotguns.

I've been after the 20 guage versions of either. So far.... i've only found one gunshop about an hour south of Edmonton that can get the Urika 2 in for me - but with a 26" barrel instead of the 28". He says $1477 with tax but has to order it. As for the Browning Gold Fusion - LeBaron's is $1138.72 (less the rebate) and Wholesale Sports (Edmonton location sucks ass) has them for $1169.95 (less rebate). Might have to do a trip to Calgary and see what they have to offer.

Just my 2 cents.

P&D in Edmonton has a Urika 2 KO listed for $1425. I paid $1450 for mine plus GST (synthetic stock KO version). My buddy bought the xtra grain version at the same time for 1500. I don't have a ton of shotgun experience but it is by far the best shotgun i've ever shot. The KO version has noticeablely less recoil.
