What ever happened to these rifles? Did they get banned and I was not aware? Not to many solid 22 lr rifle nowadays. A friend used to have one and it was great. Can't seem to find any out there.

I don’t think very many were brought into the country to begin with so they are rather scarce. They pop up on the EE from time to time and I’ve seen a wide spectrum of prices, but whenever they’ve come up for a good deal I always seem to have my fun budget tied up in other things. I was actually just looking for one again myself last week. Would love to try one out.

Just a discontinued product line, I think it took so long to get it FRT approved that there was only time for a couple of shipments to make it in country. Same with the Walther G36 22lr which was actually out of production by the time it was approved 3 years later, and IRG could import only like 3 batches of whatever rifles were in the warehouses.

Not AR-15 22lr rifles have an uphill battle to compete with the AR-15 and the Ruger 10/22 in entering the 22lr market. The AR-15 types usually scratch most people's tactical itch and the 10/22 is just cheaper.
