Beretta ARX 160 fielded by Albanian

Same here!!
Chances are they'll sell for $2500 here and I'll never be able to afford one :(

Actually, if we're "lucky", someone will bring in say, 10-15 of them and will charge $5000 a piece. Initially they'll sell about 10 of them because there are bound to be that many people in Kanada that have that kind of money (they might even sell all 15---depends how the economy is doing). Chances are they won't sell them all, so they'll conclude that "there's just no market in Canada". Or if they do sell them all, it would take a while for those interested to save enough coin. Cautious merchants would still be hesitant to bring anymore in because they'd want such an item to sell quick. But at that kind of pricing, they ain't gonna sell quick. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy: "We aren't bringing these in because they don't sell"

I'm ignorant of (and can't tell) people how to run their businesses, as there are so many factors to watch out for. But as an informed customer,
I WISH we can get more merchants who believe in making money by selling by quantity. How about bringing in 30 and pricing them at $3000? Or bring in 50 and sell at $2500? Im' sure you'll get a higher persentage of sales than otherwise being the case.:stirthepot2:

I don't think that it will be $5000 because if it is it will make swiss arms look darn right reasonable with there $3500 price tag.

You bet! BTW, I have no idea what pricing will be (if any ever do get here). I was just using a $5000 figure to emphasize a point, but a rule of thumb formula seems to be to take the US price and multiply by two:(

These rifles are 800 to 1000 dollars rifle, when sold directly to the military.

Beretta is Stoeger's territory - they are not into importing "specical" products. So if this EVER becomes available by any remote possibility, it will be a mass produced item at a fair price like the storm.

However, judging by how uber lame Beretta's civilian products are, I doubt they will make a civilian version of the ARX 160

At SHOT they were saying a year to have them ready for civilian sale. That said the guys as the booth knew nothing about the gun other then it was black and shot 5.56. Its good to see them fielding the gun, that means some level of production is under way.

We can only hope that these company guys were right about civilian sales. Be great to have even more black rifle selection in this country, even if only lawyers and multi-millionaires can afford them:)

Man shooting is becoming a rich mans game nowadays go back even 10-15 years ago 5000 for a tactical gun was crazy now its becoming the norm.

Only because people say, "Oh man, I'd pay anything." There are other dealers here, however, that have earned my business with their commitment to realistic prices. They have set the right tone. In my mind, the more affordable black rifles out there, the less likely they will be banned. The ubercostly rifles, due to small numbers, tend to go first.

I can't help but notice the BMW'S and occasional Mercedes in the parking areas of some of the matches I've been to. Not to mention higher level SUV's and $45K+ fully loaded pickups.

Don't under-estimate Joe Farmer with his older bolt gun and carefully crafted handloads. On the other hand, don't hassle the guy with the $3K+ rifle (unless he loses;)). He has to be skillfull enough to be able to exploit it's accuracy potential.
