Anyone know how to remove the plug from a Beretta Xtrema2? I'll be putting a magazine extension on for an upcoming snow goose hunt so I had a preliminary look at how to remove the end plug/cap off the magazine tube and I can't see how it comes off. I assume all recent Beretta autoloaders are the same, but there's nothing in the owner's manual on how to open the end of the magazine tube. Any help would be appreciated!:TT:

might want to check because i just took my hunting coarse and it's mexico u.s.a and canada that agreed to this law so i don't think their is an exeption!!

Yes, that is correct that it's a NA agreement. However, exceptions had been made for snow geese in certain locations for close to 10 years now.

"To deal with the huge population increase, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, along with the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, increased limits and eased up on the rules of the hunt. For the past few years, hunters could take 20 birds a day with no possession limit. They could also use unplugged shotguns and electronic calls."

There is a small hole with a spring loaded pin at the end of the mag tube. This is located just below the cap with the threaded extention that secures the forend cap.

Depress the pin & unscrew the threaded extention. Be careful as this is under pressure from the magazine spring.

Remove the spring & the plug, you're good to go.

As some of the other posters have stated, you may be breaking the law by having the gun in the field with a capacity of more than three rounds.

Pretty sure Baron will be fine, the limit on magazine capacity deals with waterfowl during the normal 107 day season. The Snow goose conservation hunts are out side of the agreement, some provinces and states allow plugs to be removed while others do not, I think Baron is aware of the rules given the fact he is taking advantage of the magazine limits.

Baron if you are hunting in Canada be aware your semi automatic shotgun can only hold 5 rounds in the tube. I have no idea what the standard capacity of a Beretta is, if you are hunting in the states load it to the hilt and have a good hunt.
