Is there any way to tighten up a Beretta's barrel to slide interface?
I've got a police surplus 92F that shoots okay but I want more out of it. The barrel seems to have quite a bit of play in the slide radially in the slide.
I've heard on 1911s (as per Kuhnhausen's book) that you can use a punch to make "craters" in the 1911 bushing internal surface and then fit it down to the barrel to slide reasonably. That seems super sketchy to do in a slide.
Any smiths that could do such a tightening?
Should I just get a 92FS? Would they have better fitment? I'm also looking at the M9A3 but my fear is that they've just dropped in nice parts without doing a good tune.
