Beretta Cx4 Storm Is there any realistic reason why it would be banned?

Beretta Cx4 Storm now banned...essentially prohibited, with grandfathering not likely.

Just trying to piece this together. Why would the Libs ban this carbine? 9mm, mag fed, meets all the criteria for NR. Why would the ban it? What logical conclusion could they have to ban this firearm?

I heard that it may be because of it's use in a shooting in the US.

I cannot fathom that would be a a valid reason to ban something, but I realize we now live in clown world.

Didn't see the banning of the van that mowed down people in a terrorist attack, or ban the aircraft the Air India bomber used.

As for the function of the CX4, is it any different than a pistol with a longer barrel?
 
In some cases the Ban, was based on the firearm of choice of mentally disturbed psychopaths.

So they guy whom shot up Dawson College used a Beretta Storm carbine, so it is banned.

Weird thought process of the ban eh? Welcome to the post national state thinking of the "peoplekind" whom run our country.
 
Personal preference of the Prime Minister. There was no logic or reasoning behind it being selected. it doesn't even fit the profile of the other firearms banned, namely the AR15 platform.

Legal proceedings are in place to challenge the OIC, challenge tyranny, and champion democracy.

It seems to clearly go out of the guidelines of using the OIC process. The PCCs in general, have much lower function than pistols, and the pistols are far easier to conceal.

It's a sad state of affairs, when the media does not question the Gov and their mindless decisions.
 
As mentioned the Dawson College shooting and this was one of the specific firearms targeted by PolySesouvient.

Their next list of demands are out
- ban SKS, Tavor, Derya Mk 12, Type 97, WK180C and change the laws to basically eliminate future semi autos
- ban importatation and manufacture of handguns
- limit all magazines to 5 rounds and ban pinned magazines
- central storage for handguns

The list goes on.
 
I'll add this anecdote. When we had our NDP MP attend a group of us from the BoD at our pistol range we decided to have our various firearms laid out on a table. He wondered over to the table just as we were abot to start our demonstration and remarked, "This looks like a scary weapon". He was referring to my registered CX4 Storm. After he shot it he realized it was no different then several other carbines we had on the table. You asked why the CX4 Storm, well I guess looks mean a lot it seems in Trudeau and Blair's world. God help ugly women!

There is no logic other than his list involves guns and that is reason enough to satisfy his base in urban Canada. In Trudeaus case, do nothing, appear to be doing something and go look for the next photo shoot.

Vote Conservative in the next election and all this goes away.

I agree, the fact that it was used in Dawson College attack is probably the Liberal’s justification for prohibition.
They banned Mini-14 because it was used in Polytechnique attack.
They banned M-14 because of it was used to kill 5 RCMP officers in NB.
Interestingly, the AR15 was never used in a crime in Canada ?!?!

It is an effective system.

Ban the weapon when it is chosen by a psychopath.

Call it the Psycho Firearm Ban Lottery system.

Each time a psycho uses that type.

Its is banned.

The reduction of the variety of firearms will increase the likelihood that each in turn will be used a future insane criminal person without a valid license.

Every day each firearm owner gets to play.

Wake up and check the news if some psycho has picked something you own.

And now you are in trouble and will pay the price.

And so on.

Until they run out of things to ban.

Firearms of all types will continue to be used at will.

Except just not by legal firearm owners.
 
The answer is simple in trying to gather their ignorant sheep to think they are doing something of course any firearm illegally used by a nut will be in the ban as well by their logic that is why the tragedy happened

The CZ Scorpion was targeted by PolySeSouvient because it was advertised as a submachine gun with extremely friendly ergonomics. If you google PolySeSouvient pdf and look for the one dated May 31, 2019 you can see the ad they were referring to.

Whats is ridiculous is the weight they have with all political parties, the Quebec gov is so afraid of them they re-invented the registry.. so many $$$ lost for nothing :(

You are correct it is ridiculous how much influence Poly has with the Quebec and federal government, but unfortunately many are not even aware of what they are working on. I would love to know where all their money comes from.
