OK I know its must have been discussed many times before but just how good or bad is the Beretta CX4 Storm, are there issues with the way it ejects or the closeness to the face?
I like the look but if its a real pig to fire then I'll save my money please give me some feedback:sniper:

I have not expereinced any of the concerns you mentioned, I really like the gun. I'm not sure what you mean by "if its a real pig to fire", to me its a great shooter and lots of fun.

I have had no problems with mine. When I first got it, it did feel a bit plasticky. However, I have grown to like it a look and consider it to be one of the nost fun firearms I own.

Definite +1. Mine is the unrestricted conversion, absolutely a blast to shoot. I only wish I could find a cheap source of surplus 9mm.

Surprisingly accurate, far more so than I expected for that type of gun.

No issues with ejection. Actually one can set up to eject from either left or right side. I set mine to eject from the right and instlled the charging handle on the left for ease of use. Seems to be ok.

No problems with mine at all. Non restrict version, but no ejection, or accuracy problems. at all. 25yards, quick fire through an Eotech, all center mass. I don't think they are a benchrest match grade shooter by any means....but they do the job very nicely for the average joe.

This is a short, ergonomic, accurate and reliable little toy!

Most than 1K round with no malfunction...still love it!!

I just got a .40 and love it. The only problem I ran into was assembling it wrong. I put the ejector on the wrong side but like I said it was all my fault. I have used factory and 1/2 load rounds and they are completely different. The full loads have a small kick but the half loads barely even move the gun ( so much fun for close range snap shooting ). Anyways with that said I would recommend it for sure. I wanted the 9mm at first because it was cheaper to shoot but then realized that the difference in ammo costs is not that big. So it costs an extra $10 to go out. If you can afford a $1000+ gun I am sure you can afford the ammo.

I have it in 9mm. Its great, no I mean Excellent! Very fun to shoot.I am very suprised that it has cycled any brand of 9mm ammo that I have used. I have not had one jam or mis-fire in over a 1000 rounds. Very accurate. It has a nice weight and pointability factor built into it.
I would like to farkle it all up with all the do-dads and stuff but I dont want it to look like an airsoft gun.

I have two cx4's both in 9mm. One is already rebarreled and another one is still waiting for its heavy 18.5" barrel. Accuracy is about 2" at 50 yards out of both rifles. Will see if heavy barrel wil improve it a little bit. I think accuracy of Beretta's is more of an attribute of a caliber, guns are fine. Ergonomics are nothing short of excellent, where did you get that "pigs to shoot"? Not to mention 10 round mags. Imagine loading 5 magazines and just blasting away. Reloading is similar to pistol and just as fast. Great stress releiver. CX4's can be carried in two pieces in a briefcase, make sure it is 22" diagonal case. Or backpack. Say, think of it as being takedown carbine. It takes about 30 seconds to assemble and begin firing.

Who is making your heavy barrel? When you get it installed post some pics. I would be interested to see how it looks.

Cheers!

when i went in barry showed me one of the barrels on its own.. i'm not sure what configuration theyre in when he gets them.. but this one was profiled to stock or close to it. if it was just a straight blank before machining i think it would have been at least .8 inch. unfortunately i have not seen what the storm stock looks like on the inside as far as profile allowances go.

Thats right, Barry's barrels are exact copies of original Beretta ones, only longer. I have one of those installed. And he is making heavy one for me as well. Barry was sceptical because inside profile does not leave much room for larger diameter, his argument is that barrel is as stiff as its weakest section, and I didn't want to drill original stock to really heavy bbl. So, what it is just bbl thats maxed out wherever possible and heavy outside of stock. I believe 9mm needs just more weight up front to shoot more accurate. Or just plain short pistol barrel. Will find out in a week or two. Whenever Barry decide to quit picking nose and do the machining.
