Anybody shoot one of these?
I have a buddy looking at one and he wants to know if there are any issues cycling light target loads.
My Urika II cycles them with no problem but I need to know if the extrema will.
Thanks in advance

As per the manual, I ran some heavy 3.5" through my ExtremaII before attempting light target loads. Just two boxes of cheap Challenger 3.5" high velocity steel loads. Following that I put about two flats of light 2.75" target loads through it at a sporting clays event just before the Waterfowl season opened up last year. Not a single failure shooting the nearly 500 target loads that day. My gun is equipped with the KO.

Same as above.

It balked at first, but I put a box or two of 3" steel through it - and haven't looked back.

I have put hundreds of rounds of 1 1/8 ounce winchester and federal bulk shells through it - no problems.

Gun has only refused to cycle twice. Once it was with a new shooter who wanted to try the gun. It was about -20C that day and it wouldn't cycle.

The other time was when we tried to shoot a guy's handload. This fellow had very light loads as he had an injured shoulder - gun wouldn't cycle his handloads.

But under normal conditions with factory target shells, it has never been a problem.

As stated above, break it in with couple boxes of heavy loads and it will shoot target loads without a problem. Best 3.5" autoloader on the market IMO, and not just because of the price.:)
