I would like to know from someone who has used this shotgun, would spending the extra $550 on the Optional Kick–Off reduction system really be worth it? Would you really see that much of a difference? How bad is the recoil without this system? Would it ruin my shoulder after a waterfowl hunt after I fired 50-60 rounds of 3" heavy loads?
I presently hunt waterfowl with a 11-87 and its got a R3 pad on, firing this shotgun with heavy mags is like shooting target loads, would the extrema2 feel the same without the Optional Kick–Off reduction system or would I need to spend the extra bucks for this system to match the recoil of the 11-87?
I would appreciate any info on this.

I've shot both the Extrema 2 with KO and the Benelli SBE II with the Comfortech stock system. For heavy loads, particularly waterfowling, I'll take the Beretta any day, and besides, it will reliably cycle target loads as well ...
( typically the Benelli's won't )

I shot an Xtrema2 K/O on a number of snow goose hunts last fall and was very impressed with the recoil dampening. I have never shot a Xtrema2 without the K/O nor have I shot an 11-87, compared to my SBEII a 1 3/8oz loads fells like 1oz target loads in the Xtrema2 K/O.
