Beretta Garand...good or bad?

Hi all,
My 20 y.o. son wants to buy an M1 Garand.
(No...i didn't raise a "snowflake")
He found one made by Beretta. From the pictures, it really
look nice...but i need to know: How good or bad is a Beretta
compared with a u.s. made Winchester, I.H, Springfield etc...?
And i'm not talking "collector value" here...

They are as good or better than the USGI versions. Post WWII quality control.

The Breda/Beretta garands are identical in quality, and as the above poster mentioned, better material sources and labor after the war has made them generally better than the wartime models. They don't hold any collector value and are better shooters as well, plus most are non-issued and the parts generally don't have as much wear and tear on them.
