Beretta M1 Garands

Any thoughts on the Beretta M1 Garands?,, I wouldn't mind having a 7.62 Garand, but the shortened rod and front parts would have me worried about ever finding replacement parts if needed.

FWIW all the shorter parts were made from the original parts. Any gunsmith can do it. And of course it is easier than making longer parts from the short ones.

New Boyds Stock $100
Blasted and Parked $150
No parts need to be modified if you start with an aftermarket .308 barrel.

The Italian short op rod Garand etc., is a shortened 30-06 barrel rechambered to 7.62 nato
(from wehat I have read?)... Go with Hitzy's suggestion... cheaper
