Beretta M9 EE pricing

Anyway, this gun is on my will not sell list along with my Glocks and 1911s. :D

Take a pic please, id like to see what ur talking about. I like the gun i have, was gonna sell it cause i needed the funds but think ill keep it now and work some OT lol.

LOL It's not fun selling guns that's for sure! Attached is a pic I just took of it. Crappy iPhone pic but you still see the chrome lining all the way to the crown and thicker than the US made ones I have seen. Now I don't think this is a big deal performance wise but I just think it may show that the Italians do have more attention to detail. Don't get me wrong I would love a US one as well. :p

Well mind says made in italy but it prob is a us made one, still seems like its good quality though. The chrome doesnt come out as far as yours.

It's probably still Italian made. Some people say it depends on the year it was made as well. I am definitely no expert on the Beretta. This is my newest acquisition. Always wanted one. I didn't pay a dime for it, I traded a non-firearm for it. Very happy with the trade. :D

Hello

I bought my new M9 from Williams Arms about a year ago for $725. Not to sidetrack but about a month ago, I called them to see if they had any Ruger SR1911 in stock (you never know). They said no, so I asked to be placed on a waiting list. I got it about three weeks later.
 
I bought a brand new M9 from a local hunting store here for $680 back in 2009. The price for them went up to around $850 immediately after I bought it, I was lucky. There's a 96A1 in .40 S&W that I really want on Wolverine Supplies, though...

I have no idea why they would sell for this much on the EE but you are better off buying them new if it's only a few bucks more.
 
Sorry...still don't buy it...I see alot of mention of the M9 in the add but when you look at the product number it is a 92FS you bought. Everyone brings in the J92F300 model (92FS)...a true M9 (commercial) will have J92M9A0M as the model number. The handguns are practically identical and their cost is the same in the US but up here I never have seen a true M9 for the same price as a 92FS. That's not to say it hasn't happened...I just haven't seen it. And for those of you who've been lucky and got the true M9 for the price of a 92FS...good on you!

It's the same issue I ran into when I went to sell my M9A1...Wolverine was listing the 92FS for something like $725 but their add talked all about the M9...so guys were offering 92FS pricing (and giving me all kinds of grief about being so high priced). Sorry, that's not going to fly with me. The gun cost more plain and simple. I don't set the price...just telling you how it is. I ended up trading it for a P226 Blackwater (not straight across...I had to pony up some cash)...but at least the guy was aware of the differences.

An edit: I have seen a guy selling an M9 in the EE for $700 in the past. It went pretty fast if memory serves.

The serial numbers of the commercial M9s all start with M9. Mine does. That and the different dust cover, sights and backstrap differentiate it from recent 92FS'.

Edit: It's kind of hard arguing with this (mine):

M9s are clearly marked on the slides and the frames and the serial numbers on the frames all have the "M9-######" format. The dust covers are straight versus the 92FS' slanted dust covers, they don't have 3-dot sights but 2-dot sights (the rear sight only features a half-moon dot on the bottom) and the 92FS has a little radius that is cut out at the top of the backstrap near the beavertail, which the M9 doesn't. The video posted above shows the differences very nicely.

If you want to make sure that you're getting an M9 just get the seller to show you these things and you should be good to go. ;)
 
So from your own admission (the previous post), you got lucky. They sold you the M9 at the 92FS price...realized what they had done and raised the price after. I'm glad you got yours so cheaply (wish I had). I'm not trying to be a douche here...I think the commercial M9's should be the same price (like they are in the US). For whatever reason it just doesn't happen here...I'd like to hear from a retailer about the wholesale cost for them...is there a difference? Or is (I shutter to say it) gouging occurring?
 
i own a 92fs and have owned a vertec, dunno why the fuss or attraction.

it's a nice service pistol but the cz75 is a better gun and cheaper.
 
Sorry Musky...can't agree with you on the CZ75...I owned one also. I like to think of it as the ugly girlfriend. Takes everything you throw at her but you won't take her to the prom :D. It was a tank but not esthetically pleasing (from my point of view). My best handguns (looks and function) are Sigs (P series and 1911's) followed closely by Colt 1911's. But that's just me...
 
lol...i was just talking functionality wise.

for looks nothing can beat a classic 1911.

for function i have my glocks!

for looks and function i agree the P229 is hard to beat!

for the john woo in me i have a 92fs!
