Hi, just put my hands on a nice beretta 71 with a 6" barrel (i wish we could use these 3.5" barrel here in canada)

I heard they are very good pistol and very funny to shoot.

Ive looked the forum and a lot of people says they would cut the barrel to 4.2" (106mm - to be canada legal) but i cant find any pictures of these mods. Any owners have done this mod and would like to post a pic? Did the mod affect the accuracy?
Where in canada i could buy a spare barrel?

Im also looking for a nice holster for this pistol so if you can tell me what you use it could be great (with pics it could be greater) Did these pistols fit in a ppk holster?

If you just want to post a pic of your beretta serie 70... Its ok too. I just love the "spy-gun" look of these. (Suppose to have been use by mossad for assassination, air marshall and teachers for self-defense)

Cant wait to have mine!!

They are a very nice pistol, like you say, its too bad they can't make them with a barely legal barrel. The long barrels were used more as a training or target pistol.

I love my little Model 71 but it's on the sidelines until I can find a source for a tiny little spring that snapped and has now rendered the firearm basically useless. No idea where I'll find a spring for it, it's too bad as I really enjoyed shooting it.

Did you look at Marstar? They have some parts on their website for these pistols

I got 2 of the model 74 with adjustable sight and 10 rounds mag...

Great little pistols, very reliable and accurate... JP.

Here ya go

Thanks, this pistol look great with that legal short barrel. Did you notice a difference in accuracy with that small barrel over the 6"? Im trying to get a spare barrel and transform it in a short one so i could keep the 6" one. Im a huge ppk fan but they are hard to get here... These little beretta look so nice and make great plinking pistols

Model 71 and M9 Beretta's. Both great guns.

Yeah, i just put my hands two weeks ago on a nice beretta 92g for a good price... When i discovered this little beretta 71, i couldnt resist buying it... Its just gonna make a great combo like yours! My first intentions was to buy a brand new S&W Mp9 with a GSG 1911 in 22lr... But i couldnt resist these beretta... And one day i would regret not buying it hahaha (maybe im gonna grab one of these Tokarev TT33 too before they become too rare)

Here is my 92g, cant wait to receive my 71 to make a "familly photo"!

Yeah, I don't mind the 6" barrel. The way I see it what's the point of going to the trouble and expense to shorten the barrel if it still has to stick out?

Its doesnt stick out that much... Just love the way it looks with that smaller barrel. You think its gonna cost a lot to shorten it? Im trying to get a spare barrel to chop so i would keep the 6" one too

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you......THANK YOU!!!

They have a sear spring in stock! I looked (I thought) everywhere and couldn't find anything when it broke mid-summer. I am happier than a pig in brown stuff right now! :dancingbanana:
