Help on a value please... a fair price where it would sell...

This gun has been fired but most likely less than 100 rounds. It is as new. No box.

Beretta Model A 300 2 and 3/4 inch 12 gauge vent rib 26 inch Skeet barrel.

dammit, I missed one of those locally by 5 minutes. If you put it up in the EE, let me know. I bought a gun "offline" here on CGN and got an infraction. The one I saw locally here was for $400 but it was a bit more used than the one you are describing.

$400ish very limited market for a 2 3/4" gun nice gun
I wouldn't think that the 2 3/4" chamber would be a big deal with this shotgun. The shorter bbl and skeet choke would make it very useable for upland hunting and casual skeet shooting.

What do you mean by "offline"? Please explain. :)

Very usable with steel shot and migratory birds as well... but the younger shooters want choke tubes and 3 and 1/2 inch shells and paint.

If my memory serves me right I think this was about a $900 gun at one time...

Probably the best gas operated shotguns ever made the Beretta 300 series. I have a A302 and a A303 would not sell either. Your A300 would make a deadly grouse gun and a very nice 35 yard duck gun. My A302 is IMP CYL and works well on ducks to 40 yards with steel #4's. With well used Remington 1100 models selling for 4 to 5 hundred I have to think that A300 is worth close to six hundred.

A guy put a gun on here asking what the value of it was. I told him I wouldnt pay more than 800 for it. He said he would take 800 if I offered. Not knowing the rule about having to purchase a gun on an official EE ad, I said sure I would like to own it as it is a bit of a historic gun to me. Anyhow I got an infraction for buying a gun on CGN, just not on the EE. I KNOW.........ignorance is no excuse, but I havent read the site rules in over 12 years and I dont remember ever reading that rule. I dont have Alzheimers.......I have "sometimers"

I have the same gun, but with a 28". It was fixed full choke, but I took it to a smith and had it bored and threaded for tubes. It was the first gun I ever bought (20+ yrs ago), & still my favorite. Not for sale.

it is an older sporting model. They sell for $300

all sporting shotguns, are, to this day mostly 2 3/4. can't remember last time I see someone shooting skeet with 3" shells....

It is just a ridiculous argument.

Nice shotgun!

All three of my Beretta Sporters are 3".

Where can I find a dozen of them at that price? Resell them for what they are worth and I could make enough to buy a new B-gun O/U!

The addition of a 3" chambered barrel is all that is needed to make 300 series guns (that are 2 3/4" chambered) able to handle 3" loads. Barrels from several models will interchange. (AL series, A300, A303, A302 Browning B80) IIRC.

300, 302 and 303 target models have larger ports for the reduced target loads. I wore out my 303 Sporting with hunting loads as the bolt speed exceeded the design. There is a St Laurent Seaway pilot that has used it on woodcock for some 15 years using target loads. Until recently the best berretta gas guns were the 390 (24,500 round without cleaning) and the 391 Optima Gold Sporter (not cleaned since 2003 and used on clays and birds). You are better off finding a 390 or 391.
