I've had one for a few years, I like it. They are a full size, solid rifle. Like Laurence said, nice trigger, easy to strip and clean. Scoping them is a little tricky and once they are scoped it usually is in the way of stripping the bolt, at least in my experience. Extra mags can be difficult to find, some of the Weatherby XXII semi-auto mags work. Mine seems quite accurate although I haven't really worked it out, but with run of the mill bulk stuff it seemed to hold an inch or less at 50 yards without trying to hard, I'm sure better ammo would improve that. It's hard to describe, but my shooting buddy and I both felt that it was the smoothest semi auto 22lr we had fired. For comparison, I have a couple 10/22s, Brno 581, H&K 270, Weatherby XXII, Gevarm and a Browning sa currently and the Beretta is just smoother. If you just want a semi-auto 22 there might be better choices, but if you want something different and a little unique, I think you'll enjoy it. You certainly won't find anything new for that price with that amount of quality. Sorry for the ramble.
