TEC has been offering these rifles in some quantity for a while.
Haven't heard much about them.
Anyone have experience with one? What are they like?

I have one from TEC. I bought it two years ago on a whim and it sat there waiting for the right moment. This happened a week or so a go.

I love it. It has a good trigger, great sights and nice balance. It's very accurate and fires as a bolt action or as a semi. The take down is beyond simple.

I have no regrets and am glad I have one.

I've had one for a few years, I like it. They are a full size, solid rifle. Like Laurence said, nice trigger, easy to strip and clean. Scoping them is a little tricky and once they are scoped it usually is in the way of stripping the bolt, at least in my experience. Extra mags can be difficult to find, some of the Weatherby XXII semi-auto mags work. Mine seems quite accurate although I haven't really worked it out, but with run of the mill bulk stuff it seemed to hold an inch or less at 50 yards without trying to hard, I'm sure better ammo would improve that. It's hard to describe, but my shooting buddy and I both felt that it was the smoothest semi auto 22lr we had fired. For comparison, I have a couple 10/22s, Brno 581, H&K 270, Weatherby XXII, Gevarm and a Browning sa currently and the Beretta is just smoother. If you just want a semi-auto 22 there might be better choices, but if you want something different and a little unique, I think you'll enjoy it. You certainly won't find anything new for that price with that amount of quality. Sorry for the ramble.

I got one also and have the same opinion, really sad that it is so though to scope because it is well made and it is an unusual rifle we are not used to see.

I have a couple old Savage 22LR rifles that are similar but not as intelligent.

The bolt handle is a push pull kind of deal where you can lock the bolt forward but pushing the bolt handle in. Just leave it out for semi. It's the first powder burner I ever shot when I was a kid actually. We had blisters on our hands from cocking it until we realized how semi worked.

The Olimpia looks like it has a better cam lock system that's probably tighter when locked.
