beretta optichoke plus tubes

I picked up a Beretta A391 Extrema2 and it came with the optichoke plus choke tubes. The manual says these are safe to shoot steel through. How tight a choke can I use with steel shot?

I am new to hunting with a shotgun so I apologize if its a silly question.

My Beretta came with Optimachoke HP's, they are claimed to be steel proof up to full choke, but the book says any tighter than modified is detrimental to the pattern. I've never shot steel at a patterning board, but I'd say modified at the tightest would be a safe bet. I think many/most guys consider mod to throw a "full" pattern with steel.
