Unfortunately, 92/96 is being discontinued in favour of the 90-two (plastic fantastic)

I thought 90Two has metal (aluminum) frame, not polymer frame, with rubber interchangeable grips, isn't it?

i have an italian made M92fs :)

its soo awesome!

is it jsut me.. or is the frame between the italian one and hte american one a little different? right infront of the trigger guard... on the american ones it seems to kinda taper up and on the italian one it seems to be straight..

running change in the dustcover design, and a source of anger with a lot of Beretta owners. I don't know any that like the tapered dust cover.

the link to the Beretta Armorer stuff has some good reading in it, but it's not too current. to stay current with Beretta stuff, go to www.berettaforum.net and join up.

YES!!!.........very true. I too own an Italian Beretta 92F, and I love it to death. After the 5,000 rounds and counting of ammo I've pumped through it with ZERO malfunctions...lets just say, I'm very pleased.

I have replaced the original recoil spring for a Wolffs 15.lbs extra power recoil spring and a new guide rod.

The American Beretta's are nice too, but I dont like the tapered frame.

I just purchased a mint condition 92SB and so far I am very happy with it. The trigger is nice and crisp but a little heavy for my liking, but I have yet to weigh it I'm thinking it is in the 5 to 6 pound range. I think I will look into a spring kit for it, does anyone know if these are available in Canada? The sights are good but it shoots about 4" high at 25 yds, but I can easily live with it. I also need to track down some spare mags.

I just shot a Beretta for the first time yesterday. A friend of mine recently received his 96D from Police Ordnance and I have to say I was really impressed with it. Very nice trigger for a double action only, and I was amazed at how smooth it was (though I'm not sure if it had been tuned, etc. in the past?).

For $550 plus GST/shipping he got a lightly used ex-police 96D with Trijicon night sights, a level 3 Safariland duty holster, duty belt, and double mag pouch, and one mag. Seems like a pretty good deal to me. ;)

ProperTrigger job

you should feel what it's like when a proper trigger job is done to a Beretta. The single action is like glass, and the DA is smoooooooth like butter.
Who does proper trigger jobs? Preferably in the GTA?

92 fs Brig Stainless

well don't buy a new one, Piece of garabage, I bought a Beretta 92 FS Brig Stainless

Plastic trigger, guide rod, mag release and landyard ring. All the fire controls are palstic,

on a Beretta!!!! unbeliveable........ I pay $1000 plus tax and this is the garabage i get, I sould have bought a para p-16

oh and a 1 year limited warranty, compared to paras lifetime waranty. I have a Para SSP .45

makes my Beretta feel like a alloy pice of ####. So now I have to spend money in swaaping out the parts for steel ones. I like the 92... but not when Beretta is cutting corners and passing off garabage like this. I'll keep the pistol, swap out the parts , and never buy another product from Beretta USA again........

Well, look at the bright side – at least your Beretta's frame and slide are not made from cheap castings, like Para Ordnance (that's right – even the slide is cast!)

I too preffer all metal 92fs, but so what that trigger and guide rod are plastic they work just as well as metal once. Btw mag release is not plastic...
