No reason to knock it. It's a nice enough looking gun (one hell of a lot nicer than some pistol makers carbines) and I like it when gun companies make longarms for the civilian market. If it is anything like the Cx4 storm then I would get it.

looks very very cool...
I understand it'll be available in .223/5.56 and it's a semi. So under current Kanuckistan laws we'll get hit with the pinned to 5 rounds BS. Barrel length is hard to estimate form the picture but it looks under 18.5 inches so restricted as well.

Al least the Storm can use 10 round mags.

Personal critiques:

Very long action due to roots in reg hunting cartridges. Maybe there will be a 308 version. It most certainly will fit. I think the reg. magnums would too. large slot in rear of action for bolt travel will allow alot of dirt to egress. Bad for trigger mech.

Very high comb on that collasped stock. The way that lady is holding the rifle, you would need sights about 8" above the receiver to view. At full extension, seems to be ok. Stock should allow constant view of sights at any length. Action is long enough for lots of optics options. Racey shape of stock is going to be prone to hangin up when creepy crawly.

Safety is for very long fingered shooters. That lady would be hard pressed to disengage that safety. With gloves, not going to happen.

Mag release - in front of the trigger guard or that black square on the action. Either way, shooting hand cannot engage so back to two hand mag changes. A very strong plus for the AR.

Odds are it will be plenty pricey too. Around $2000 would be my guess.

Good part will be that all furniture is modular so accessories will be easy to mount. My guess is that the HG on there now has an integrated light. How will that 'plastic' handle the heat of fire? Some fancy plastics I guess.

The rest will come when we actually get to play with it. Initial impression is another wow, golly gee whiz big buck bling machine. About as exciting as a Rem 7400 with fancy clothes. As a working rifle, I would prefer a Mini 14.

Doesn't the Rem 7400 action share the same stock pattern as the Rem 870? Uhhhmmmm...
