Beretta Silver lark 2 3/4 semi auto 12 ga

Does anyone know anything about them, such as do they have interchangable chokes etc, reliablity etc. I have a family friend that says she is trying to sell her deceased Fathers shotgun and I may have a chance to buy it? I haven't seen it yet but she says it is like knew, built between 1960 & 68. On the phone she didn't know more than the basics.
