Beretta SO4 Sidelock

Have you considered reaching out to Stoeger Canada, the importer of Berettas, to see if they have a recommendation? The fact is though that gunsmiths capable of working on higher-end sidelocks are in short supply and you may have to look further afield.

I ended up calling Jim over in Maine at Coles. My single non barrel selective safety was pinned by design by a previous owner. It’s common on Olympic hand made grade Berettas. I think I will just leave it that way. So on singles my bottom barrel always gets shot. According to Jim it’s better for the action anyways. I lucked out on this one. One third of the cost in contrast to getting one from William Larkin and Moore out of AZ. Picked it up at the Pentiction Gun show before it was supposed to go the the Red Deer show next week. Been looking and dreaming for that model since the 80’s. There are some good deals if you know what to catch.

Are there any gunsmiths in Western Canada that have SO4 sidelock experience? Who would be the sidelock clean and service as well as the barrel selector service and align. Any recommendations are appreciated.
Call the guys at Italian in Vancouver on Tuesday morning.

It appears the OP has found someone to his satisfaction...
I didn't read to the end before posting:oops:
