The Storm's trigger is not as bad as people who have never fired one say it is.
Because the trigger is plastic, there's a bit of flex in it. There's a lot of 'takeup' and the "let off" is a bit on the heavy side. It's no match 1911 trigger, but it's not a heavy single stage military trigger either. Think of it as a Glock NY1 trigger with a lot of takeup. Same same. The good news is that the trigger gets a bit lighter and crisper with use.
There is a guy in the US that does trigger jobs on the Storms, but you have to send him the complete gun....good luck with that.
I found just cleaning the crap out of the trigger components and then applying
some good quality bolt grease to the contact surfaces made a world of
difference...it doesn't change the length, but it's definately less "squeezing a
brick" than it was!
Actually, the only thing that bugs me about my new Storm is the "push" safety button that goes through the frame....it's VERY stiff to operate, particularly when trying to "off" the safety with the trigger finger. I hope that loosens up over time.
Otherwise, it's a fun Pistol Caliber Carbine.
I had a non-restricted Storm for a grand total of two weeks...it was OK, but just OK. I didn't like the trigger and it was a little fussy with extractions, depending on the ammo (probably due to the conversion). Now I have a H/K USC and to me it is THE pistol caliber carbine!
I can't stop fondling my Storm.
I also can't wait for the first Tac Rifle match when everybody shows up with PCC's and psuedo SMG's. Except Sparrow, of course, who is always a season behind. "Is that an AR15....? How quaint"
