I am just inquiring to see if anyone has had the opportunity to shoot one of these yet? I have one on order, and have read everything I can find on the internet about it. I have met one guy who shot one at a Beretta show, he said he loved it. He says the only downfall would be everyone and their brother would be asking you what it was everytime you had it out to a shoot. Just wondering if anyone else had any thoughts on it.

noticed one for sale on EE, you could ask the seller if you are interested.

If I remember right, it ejects spent shells down and forward, making impossible to catch. This fact alone take you out of the Olympic trap or bunker trap option.

For American trap it's probably good.

You have to "catch" shells in bunker? Arent you allowed to shoot twice? Are autoloaders not allowed?

At the Canadian Clay Championship held in Calgary, many shot autoloaders for the bunker portion. Maybe because it was not an official bunker competition, but part of an unregistered event? I shoot it for fun once in a while but no one has ever said anything? Some seem a little ticked because it takes me a little longer to take out the unfired round and do not move to the next station fast enough.

If you read the "official" rules for olympic trap for either olympic or ISSF shoots, there are a lot of restrictions. Everyone use o/u. no autos. One of which is that you catch both of your shells after you turn and place them in a shell catch net at your station.

Again UGB25 eject shells down and forward. So... for unofficial events i guess that's ok, but you will never be allow to compete in a registered/formal/official event, unless you can catch the shells somehow...

I don't intend to do any olympic shooting with the gun. Does anyone have any information on the gun, how it shoots, recoil, feel, etc.? I am sure that there will be some kind of shell catcher released for it at some point.

talked to a friend who shot one the recoil was the same as a 391 and it's just heavier though it has a big rib it's a terrific waste of money you're looking at 5000 taxes in for what a 1600 dollar 391 will do just as well. Don't buy it unless you really like the novelty it is pretty cool

i think novelty totally justifies the buy
I mean, take a look at that

I shot a round of sporting clays with one back in September. Stoger Canada was having a dealer demo at the Galt Sportmans Club. I shot it well and it seemed like a nice gun. When not shooting the action must be open on all clay target ranges. This meant that the internal moving parts are exposed. In Canada during a heavy rain, snow, or ice storm I would have concerns about this. My other peeve is the price, you can get two to three AL391 autoloaders for the same price.
