Beretta vs. CZ

I wanna ask those who own both and what is their experience with Beretta and CZ pistols, which one would you recommend and why?

I own a CZ 75B and is a sweet heart, I shot 92F several time, even I have a small hand but it shoot very good and the action is very smooth, IMO better than my CZ, fit and finish is out standing and worth every single pennies. But understand that they are in different price range. The only issue for the CZ is too hard to rack the slide back to chamber the first round. Haven't got a single jam since I have it. Trigun
 
Elite is almost 1200 bucks, and for that cash I can get CZ 75 Standart IPSC with nice single stage trigger.
Beretta got nicer looks dough

I've got a Beretta 92FS and I love it. I've put a few thousand rounds into it without a problem. Handle a friend's CZ a few weeks ago, and found it hard to handle. But that could just be me
 
Both are good handguns. I have a 92FS Brigadier Inox. I personally prefer the grip and feel of that model. However, in close second was a CZ SP01 (which is the new enhanced version of the CZ75). Bull nose barrel, night sights +rail. Good solid gun. Literally plenty of bang for your buck. Last of the all metal guns - even the new Berettas are more composite/plastic.
No matter what anybody tells you - the final decision comes down to how YOU feel with the choice. If it appeals to you, there is a good chance that you will shoot better with it.
Both of them are ultra reliable. Both have been used as duty pistols for an uncountable number of military and LEO departments worlwide.
You will not regret either one.
 
try shooting both and see what you like better...

I have a 92F INOX and love it, but CZ does feel really good in my hand... If I'd ever get one it'd be a SP-01

CZ Gets My Vote

I've owned both [more than one example of each, too]. Currently own neither. If I had to do it again it would be CZ handsdown...;) :D
 
they are both technically good, but VERY different size/shape/etc. you'll need to try them to see how they fit YOUR hand(s).
 
I have both(a Beretta elite 2 and a pre B CZ75).They are both very good guns and I enjoy them both.

The Beretta is better finished and has better sights.Its probably a slightly more accurate gun than the CZ.The CZ has (IMO) a better grip and trigger.

Both are very reliable.In all the years that I have had them,Ive had 1 jam with the Beretta and 3 with the CZ.Nothing has ever broken on either of them,although another CZ that I had some years ago broke its slide stop.

Considering that the CZ is about half the price of the Beretta,its better value for money,but you wont go wrong with either.
 
I've had my Beretta 92FS for 7 years and 7000 rounds without a jam. Not saying the CZ is a bad gun (I feel that it's good value for the money) but I would stick to Beretta. You will most likely be happier with the fit and finish and accuracy vs the CZ.
 
I was quite surprised to see the photo with the comment regarding no heat mirage with the Beretta.....my Vertec is the first pistol I have ever shot that produces a noticeable heat mirage after shooting the same amount of ammo as my other pistols....:confused: I put that down to the open barrel. Anybody else have any experience with that?
I also found his comment regarding "single action is for fighting" to be rather silly....:rolleyes: There is no perceptable "real world" disadvantage to a first DA shot...however, it does have perceptable advantages. ;)
 
CZ IPSC and Beretta

Until recently I owned and competed with a Beretta Mod96 Brigadier and a CZ IPSC both in .40 S&W. The fit, finish, and appearance of the Beretta is superior. However, where the rubber hits the road, or in this case, where the bullet hits the target the CZ is far superior. I've recently sold my Beretta, but that's just my personal choice.
 
I've shot Beretta 92s and have not liked them. I found the trigger inconsistent and way too heavy. I own a CZ 85 Combat and LOVE IT! It is accurate beyond my high expectations, the trigger is like butter and the function is flawless. For the price of a 92fs I can buy an 85 combat and about 6 magazines (maybe more). I wouldn't trade my CZ for the beretta even though the beretta is "worth" more.

From what I hear, reliability is top notch for either (with the nod maybe even going to the CZ) BUT the Beretta has a nicer finish to justify its higher pricetag.
