I don't think you would be disappointed with the Bergara. I picked up an LRP Elite last year with the same intention of getting back into LR.
My son took it upon himself to deflower it before the range went up in smoke last year. He was just using 140gr. Fed. Amer. eagle and he said it was hitting sub moa for him.
For a factory rifle it holds it's own.
