Shooting buddy brought over his Bergara on Saturday for some ammo testing. First one Ive got to put my mitts on. Impressed and the bolt was very smooth. The trigger was OK but Id replace it fairly quick if it was mine. The quality seemed excellent and the configuration of the rifle I found very good. Seems like a well built firearm. He was able to shoot very good groups with the odd flyer I attribute to the trigger. !/2" was pretty easy and a bunch were well under with that drifter opening up the group. Lots with four in a tight ragged hole and one slightly off. It was cold and windy and I think my buddy was starting to get fingers frozen as well. We tried the Heathen brake off my vudoo and it shot a little tighter groups overall so we tried a Dlask Linear on it and it also worked. He was impressed enough he bought the Dlask from me so now I have to order a replacement. It was off the brides gun and hope I get the new one before she finds out. I was impressed and think this is a very nice accurate rifle ready to compete without doing much.
Started having mag issues. Started on the original stock, just a couple of times. Then I decided to change to a krg bravo and the last 4 rounds of the mag are coming in shallow and slamming into chamber. Have to slam them home and shoot deformed bullets. Only the last 4 rounds though. Makes me think week spring and shallow angle
Been following the this thread on the Bergera with interest. Strange the mag had issues after stock change. The mag spring should not go weak yet. Rifle is for fairily new. Sound like they like Lapua and SK products. Not many new ones; no used ones. Keep reporting on the shooting.
Started in factory stock, haven’t shot for a while, I decided to change the stock and gave it a try only to find it had got worse, let’s see when a cadex is attached. Got in touch with Odell engineering, great guys
