Throwing this out there to you and a few other CGN sponsors. Could you inquire with the distributor if they could bring in the Bergara BA13 line of single shot rifles?

Pretty much identical to the CVA branded single shot rifles but looks like the Bergara's have more options for calibers, barrel lengths and some are equipped with rifle sights too.
The models I'd be most interested in would be the 9mm, 357 mag and 44 mag, all with rifle sights.
I've seen a few threads talking about them on here in the past but don't know if they were ever available in Canada. Here's some examples of them I found online. Some models show they were only introduced in certain countries.

(Thinking this was a typo and is supposed to be .357 mag)

You'll probably see them here but remember CVA and Bergara are owned by the same company...CVA already sells the Scout rifle single shots in most of these calibres.

Thanks for the reply, ya later when I did a search I saw they had the same parent company. They probably don't want a competition between their own two brands that sell pretty much the same identical rifle.
Just saw Bergara offered compact models with 16.5" barrels, rifle sights and these were chambered in calibers like 9mm, 357mag and 44mag. That's what peaked my interest and thought I'd ask if it's possible but if not I really hope CVA starts offering something in this kind of setup too.

Valid points. I have the CVA Scout in 44 Rem Mag. The overall length of 38" feels good, but I think I'd rather have a shorter barrel than the 25" it came with (and the ability to put a muzzle break on... just because).

I have a 2-7x32 scope on mine, but I can see others may want iron sights.

I like it, and if they offered a 357 Mag or 45 Colt version for a good price I might get that too.

Hey, do you think you'd be able to get this model in stock atleast if the Bergara's don't end up being an option?
This is the only Scout I've seen so far that CVA offers with a 16.5" barrel. I have no experience with .300 Blackout yet but I'm guessing it'd be a fun caliber to play around with aswell.

I'd be interested as I haven't bought a CVA as I want open sights and would actually prefer a shorter barrel then they have on the rifles I'm interested in. I know EABCO has an open sight for it but then there is the issue of ordering from the US.
Coming with a shorter barrel and installed open sights this looks to be a better option.

I tried to get one in 8x57 jrs a few years back. I was told by another business that they could not be imported because CVA had the distribution rights, or something along those lines, for these models in North America. I know they are all produced by bergara.

Too bad, would be nice to have an iron sighted all weather stainless single shot in the chambering options sold under the bergara name

I was told the same thing last spring.

The proper path forward would be to contact CVA and tell them exactly what you want from the BA13 line.
I can't imagine it would be tough for them to add another model to their north american line-up if demand was there.

Posted in another thread but thought I'd post here too to find out when these might be coming. CVA made a few updates to their Scout rifles for 2025. They have a few more calibers, all have threaded barrels, better picatinny optics rail and new stock with interchangeable cheek comb, adjustable length of pull and now the barrels will also come with pre threaded holes to add iron sights. I think that's a huge plus.

Short barrel with iron sights would be a big seller. I have come close to pulling the trigger a couple of times on one of these but the lack of iron sights has always stopped me.
