Berger .284 140 grain Hunting VLD

Anyone use these bullets in the field? Bought some to work up a load in my .280. Where I hunt the ranges are often long, but there is always a chance of a closer range shot. Will these break apart at close range at .280 speeds?

Used them in my 7 rem mag with sixty grains of 4350 and shot a deer at about seventy yards. very effective. it was facing me and I gave him one shot in the chest and he dropped right there. i am not afraid to use them again.

I've used the 168 gr with reloaded 19 in a 280 Rem and took a moose at a measure 360 yds. Had pass through and the moose walked about 20 yards and fell over. I am going to try them again.
