Hello Gents.

I have a Blaser Tactical 2 in 338 Lapua Mag. I want to reload some Berger 300gr Hybrid bullets, but don't know where to start. Anyone out there have any pet loads for this bullet? I have some of the first run of the Berger 300 hybrid and some of the later 300 gr tactical hybrid.
I am using Lapua Brass.

Looking for Powder type and charge, primer type, velocity obtained in your guns, Overall length, etc. any info is appreciated.

Cheers.......Big grizz.

I am shooting a custom Rem 700 with a 29" barrel and this seems to work Very well for me thus far:
Hornady brass (Very similar to Lapua)
Federal 215 primer
H1000 powder @ 89.5gr
Berger 300gr Hybrid Tactical Bullet seated at 3.855" COAL
Speed is 2700fps with a spread of 15fps so far at 10*c

Been good for a few .75" groups at 200yds.

My higher node was found at 92.5gr of powder and got those beauties up to 2800fps, but is over Hodgdon's posted max and is pretty stout on the recoil in comparison to my pet load. Is the increased action pressure and whoopin to the brass and shoulder worth 100fps to me? No. I don't shoot out to a mile or further enough to lose sleep over 100fps. Hope this helps!

I bet someone really awesome pointed that out to you...

A stout load of retumbo or US869 should do wonders behind the big pills. I was at about 92gn of retumbo in my old Rem 700P, norma brass and CCI LRM primers. Was easy to make the big case work. :)
