I bought 2 boxes of these bullets Berger 95 gr. VLd. And I can not get them to group at all. I tried using Alliant 22 from book minimum to maximum at 10,000 off of the lands of my Savage Model 12 243. And it seemed to pattern instead of group like 4 inches at 100.

The gun is a shooter just for plinking I have a few boxes of Hornady 75 gr. HP and with a minimum load of Varget it easily groups less than an inch.

Are these bullets too long for the 9.25 twist or are there better powders suited to theses heavier bullets?

If anybody has had any luck getting these bullets to shoot itty bitty groups please tell me your tricks.

Thanks Timberwolfe

I knew it would be on the bubble as for twist when I bought these bullets. Being a savage I have plans on putting a better barrel on it somewhere in the future.

The 95 gr Bergers

should work just fine in the 9.25 twist. They work fine in my Rem 700 243 with 9.25 twist at any temp.

I would think a powder change is in order. Reloader 22 seems a bit on the slow side.
