These bullets, according to Berger, are now availible through Sinclair International, and Berger's own Tech Line. It should be noted, that in the article linked above, that a change from the current production run will be made. The boat tail angle will be reduced from 9 degres to 7 degres to help with transonic flight. Bryan Litz is also stating that the bullet will perfom well at ranges up to one mile (supersonic) with 1 in 10 twists. Transonic performance (over one mile) may, again, may suffer. As with most Bergers, mag length constraints may be an issue, as it is a long bullet.

I am just posting what I have read, and watched from Berger's web site. Please check out all info for yourselves. There have been quite a few people, including myself, waiting a very long time for these bullets.
Personally, I can see myself waiting a while longer for Berger to settle on a final design, and take the bullet to full production. The mag length constraints with be an issue for me, and may preclude me from shooting these bullets. Having said all that, an .891 BC has me foaming at the mouth.

The line for 300 gr Bergers forms over there behind Mysticplayer. :D

Actually behind Morpheus32.

If he doesn't get any from my first batch, I will likely be banned for life:p

There is an ETA for the release with a 2010 at the end of it so I am very hopeful.

When will supply get to little old me (likely the standing orders are HUGE)..???????

Now that's a good question

The link to applied ballistics was great, I learned a lot - most notably that I want these! And all the info was based off a muzzle velocity of 2800fps - imagine what results 3000fps from an AI would produce. I can confidently say that it will be a long time before I start shooting to subsonic distances with these bullets.

But I too will wait until they settle on a final design so I don't have to redo my load development. I guess we will still be waiting a while to see the final product on the market, but at least we now have an idea of their timeline.

Great news. The AI that I am selling just got better. Gonna have to bump the price up.
Magic bullets that fly better than a goose. Yippeee!

I have ordered bullets from Sinclair many times with no issues. They take care of what needs to be taken care of, and they show up in my mail box.

Do the Berger target bullets expand well? Are they similar to Siera Matchkings? For the most part I will just be using them as target bullets, but it is always a bonus if they work for hunting too.

I just called Sinclair and they said they cant ship bullets to Canada but do have them in stock. They are working on getting everything done for it but a couple months out yet before they can.

Berger has their own line of Hunting VLD bullets. Have never used them personally but they claim excellent performance.

I will be getting a small run of the Hybrids in the next week or two.

PM or email me if interested. They will be coming in 50/box on this first run but they are also offered in 250/box.

I am not supposed to post pricing here so contact me for that.

Thanks,

Jerry

Sinclair is the goods. They are a reputable company and obviously have the paperwork sorted out on their end. I have ordered several items from them with no issues.

Guys. Another door has been closed. My last shipment of bullets from Sinclair was late 2009. I just received this e-mail today:

"The item you are inquiring about requires an Export License to ship. Please see attached regarding our status of exporting these items out of the US. Your order is cancelled.

Please keep any eye out on our website as this summer we will resume shipping these items out of the US but at this time we cannot fulfill these items on your order. They have been removed.

To prevent duplication of orders, please do not place a new order to resolve this issue."

Sounds like they have had a temporary glitch in their export permit situation. I can wait a few weeks to buy in country. Bummer about not getting them sooner.
