Berger bullets in AR15?

Is 70 grains getting to the heavy side of my twist rate?

Shouldn't be. Here's my 1/9 10.3"
(Just testing for stabilization, off a bipod and >3sec/shot, new chromelined barrel).

A true 9 twist should stabilize the 75gr Bergers and Amax. I am getting alot of interest in the 70's. Not sure what they are shooting them in but they are popular.

The only downside with the 75gr's is the need to seat deeply. They can work out of an AR mag if you use Benchmark. You will be seating right on top of the powder which is actually a very good thing.

The 70's should seat without any fuss.

Let me know if you would like some to test...

According to my Berger counter mat, 70 grain VLD to 75 VLD are for 1-9" twist or faster, 77 Match to 82 Match is for 1-8" Twist or faster, and 90 Grain VLD is for 1-7" Twist or faster. Of course these are just recomendations but they are directly from Berger.
