Are they taking moose sized game?

Also, I was wondering if they were coming out with a 30 cal. 190gr. BT bullet that has a BC similar to the JLK 190. 0.574 is nice, but 0.602 is nicer...

They where hunting anything in north america and some african game...

I didnt see any moose but they fired on some big elk, a waterbison in africa, pronghorn at 810 yards...

And you can use the VLD for hunting!

I am going to try it in a few 7mms this year on whitetail.

The BC of teh VLD bullet is,,, well awesome! .643 for a 168 .284

I used 7mm 180gn VLD's (7mmWSM) this year for match shooting. They were awsome, and shot very well out to 1000 yards.

I am not sure how they will perfom for hunting, but perhaps the 'Thick Jacket' version would be the way to go.

Here is what they did to 3/4 inch steel plate at 300 yards.

The shiney hole in the centre, bulged the back of the plate, almost complete penetration.

The "thick" jacketed version are actually not recommended for hunting as they don't expand consistantly.

I have been using them in my 308, 168 and 175's. Both shoot amazing. The 175's are all I use now.
