Berger Hybrid 0.065" Jump , thoughts????

I got my cartridge measured up and to fit my magazine in my .338 LM I have to have a 65 thou. jump.

Has anyone seated this far out?

Or am I just gonna start behind the 8 ball if I begin load testing at this length?

if thats as long as you mag will fit then start there. you can always bump them back and fine tune from there

Not necessarily hopeless at all. Definitely worth trying out. Sometime you can get really good accuracy with bullet jumps that would have you guessing otherwise.

If your rifle's chamber has been cut with a match reamer and has a relatively tight throat, this will probably give you a better chance of getting good accuracy even in spite of long jump.

I seat mine with 0.030" jump. Too long for the mag but prints consistant .3 MOA...

In my PGW 7WSM I started at mag length (40 thou off the lands), found my best charge and then kept seating deeper till I got my best seating, ended up 120 thou off.
