berger match bullets, anyone use them

i have been using 178 grain amax's in my 308 700 vls, i am out of them and am curious to try something else, i found these online


Berger Bullets 30 Cal 185 grain match grade VLD bullets. J4 Jacket, boat tail hollow point they have good BCs 0.549(G1) 0.281(G7), seems pretty good to me, but would like to hear what people think of the berger match bullets in general

I used the Berger 185gr. VLD's this year in my 30-06 for hunting. Accuracy was good, under 2" at 300y @ the range with a Remmy 700 SPS. The only down side (besides the cost) was I could not get them to shoot really well if velocity was over 2550fps, but the 200y groups @ 2750fps were still under 4.5".

I used this heavy of a bullet as I was planning on a moose hunt and I only wanted to use one bullet for everything this fall. As it turns out I needn't have bothered, I didn't even see a moose while I was moose hunting...... I did see several while deer hunting but they were not in season when I saw them. :(

I had good results, good wound channel etc. Everything I shot was a bang flop, one deer was over 350y and the other deer was under 150 (on the run). Devastating on Coyotes as well.

Give them a try, I don't think you will be dissapointed.

Several shooters I know are using them with excellent results.

I use them in my 223 and they have been superb, got them from Mystic here on CGN.
 
cool, picked up a 100 at a local store and will try them, was getting 1-1.25" groups out of the amax's, see if they can match it, the high BC would be awsome if they perform

BC doesn`t mean squat at 100 yards and very little out to 300. I have found that Amax bullets shoot so well at 300 meters out on my rifle it will be my new short range bullet. I will save the Bergers for 800,900 and 1000 yards.

Liberty is a little conservative when he says superb, I watched him shoot a 5 shot group with my spotting scope , measured .520" at 300yards
