Do you include the plastic tip in your length measurement?
The bullet I want to shoot is marginally stable if I include it and perfect if I dont.
7mm rem mag w/ 150 gr ttsx out of 9.5 twist

I would use the measurement with the tip. It will stabilize fine , I've shot that bullet in a 9.5T 7rm and it grouped well out to 600 yards

I am going to be testing this very bullet in a 7mm WSM 9.5 twist in a couple weeks. I think it will group well. I'll try to remember to post my results here.

9.5 twist will stabilize the 150 gr 7mm bullet just fine. - dan

I tried out the 150 TTSX in my 7mm WSM yesterday. No issues whatsoever stabilizing the bullet. Didn't group as well as the 140 TTSX does but this is also a very finicky rifle to load for. I was able to get around 1.5 MOA out of the 2 loadings I tried.
