I'm looking at these online, but I notice that all the 92fs's do not have a picatinny rail.. Are there any models that do?

Is this what the M9 is all about?

If there is a berretta 92fs with a rail, how is it different than the m9?

Finally, if there isn't a 92fs with a rail available, can you buy an M9? I have not seen one for sale...

Thanks for your help.

90Two

So many questions.
A few years back the Beretta people brought out their revised and enhanced version of the 92FS.
It is called the 90Two. Designed primarily for the 40S&W cartridge, it is also chambered in 9mm. The gun has a changeable one piece grip, re-styled slide, and a picatinny rail for lights.
It is a very nice gun. Look for it.

yeah 90two has a rail...and comes with rail cover

92FS /M9 doesnt' have a rail. But M9-A1 does (may now be discontinued)!

Also Vertec and Elite models had rails as well (both now discontinued)

if you don't mind buying used I'm sure you'll find some here if you post a WTB ad in the EE section.

so the 90-two is actually a good piece of gun?

I had heard that not many people had cared for it, at least thats what some guy said. Of course there were no facts to back that up, but I'll try looking for a review of it online.

Thank you.

90two is just a 92FS with with some minor costatic changes. It's basically the same gun!

Most people (me incl) do prefer the look of the 92FS. But if anything 90two is a little stronger gun. Beretta re-designed it for .40S&W and discontinued the 96 line (.40 version of the 92) right after the 90two came out. Other benefit of 90two is that you can get a smaller grip for it...

If you like the look of it no reason not to get. Why do you need a rail btw?

I checked out some testimonials and some reviews on line and it looks like I can't find anything negative about it. Looks like most 92 owners like the 90-two change.

I don't really need the rail, but I like the option of mounting a surefire on it, I think the berretta looks great with it. However, for real world use, especially in canada, the rail isn't necessary.

The smaller grip for it is a neat thing, my girlfriend has small hands and really appreciates thin pistols like the tok or the 1911, the grip option sounds like a good idea.
I like looking into all kinds of firearms, particular ones that are in use, or have been used in the past by law enforcement/military of all countrys.
A beretta may or may not be next on my list but I'm just asking questions too see where my interest in it takes me, to buy it or not :)

thanks.
