Good point. Same applies to immediately swapping the hammer spring - easier to appreciate it when taken a little time to get used to the heavier pull.

For me this same experience came with my first DA/SA S&W revolver. The Model 19, even with a Wolff spring kit installed, forces the shooter to learn excellent trigger pulling skills when shooting in DA mode. And since much of my shooting is in speed related matches or in practicing for such matches I shoot by far the lion's share of revolver shots in DA. I probably only shoot 5% or less in SA mode with such guns.

In the end a good shooter may not even notice, other than in passing, the heaviness or lightness of the trigger pull it just is what it is and the shooter will continue to build up the pressure in a smooth and accurate manner until the gun goes BANG!.
 
Its funny this thread came up when it did..

Like I said, I started on a rental shadow then purchased a Beretta and other guns that taught me much better trigger control.

Now I'm selling my Beretta cause I want a Shadow and my wife says I have to get rid of something. The Beretta is the only one I'm willing to part with. Makes me sad, I would love to keep them both.

The Beretta is definitely one ###y gun.
 
lol :D yeah my fiance doesn't have too much input about my gun addiction and I'm going to keep it that way. hell she got me a new press for my B day and contributed to a gun purchase on my last one :)
 
I don't know if mentioned yet but sights are possibly a consideration depending what Beretta you get.

If you want night sights, or to switch sights, the standard 92FS has a solid front sight IIRC. The CZ is obviously more plug and play friendly in that department.

A minor point, but might make a difference. Otherwise, buy what you think feels/shoots the best for you.
